What Does Delayed Period Along With Stomach Bloating And Stomach Pain Indicate?
Hi, I was taking Qlaira pills for about 1 year. The past two months I haven t seen my period, so I decided to stop taking the pills and now I feel so bloated in the stomach area (uncomfortable) and little pains every now and then. Should I see a doctor, should I be worried?
I can understand your concern. Missing periods indicate first towards pregnancy but if you were taking contraceptive pills regularly, chances are rare that you could be pregnant. However, taking one home pregnancy test won't hurt.
In addition, you should visit a gynecologist as there might be many reasons other than pregnancy that can cause missed periods such as polycystic ovarian disease, thyroid disorder, premature ovarian follicle failure, presence of infection in the ovary/uterus etc. These need investigations like blood tests and sonogram to be diagnosed. Based on the test results, treatment can be started.
